Safelink Wireless SIM Activation Delay

Signed up for Safelink Wireless and received my SIM card in the mail, but after inserting it, I still don’t have any service. Followed the activation steps, but it’s been a few hours with no signal. Is this kind of delay normal, or should I try reactivating it?

Got my Safelink Wireless SIM as part of the Lifeline program and followed all the activation instructions right after inserting it. The phone recognized the SIM, but no bars or service came up. Some users said it may take a few hours or even until the next day, depending on the phone model and area. I waited overnight, restarted the device, and the service finally kicked in.
